NEW WORLD-CLASS EYECARE SERVICE IN THE CAPITAL

Construction has begun on the new Oriel Eye Care Centre in London, which is set to provide world-class eye care services to patients in the capital. The centre will be located at St Pancras Hospital and is expected to be completed by 2024.

The Oriel Eye Care Centre will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including specialist clinics for conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration. The Oriel eye hospital will also have a dedicated children’s eye clinic and a research centre to advance understanding of eye diseases and improve treatments.

The centre is a partnership between Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (Moorefields eye hospital in London), UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, and Moorfields Eye Charity. The partnership aims to bring together world-class expertise and research in eye care to benefit patients in London and beyond.

The Oriel Eye Care Centre is part of a larger redevelopment project at St Pancras Hospital, which includes a new mental health facility and improvements to existing healthcare facilities.

In conclusion, the construction of the Oriel Eye Care Centre is a significant development in the provision of eye care services in London. The state-of-the-art facilities and world-class expertise at the centre will benefit patients with a wide range of eye conditions, and the research centre will advance our understanding of eye diseases and improve treatments.
