Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon Required Mansfield Nottinghamshire                  (Full or Part time) We are looking for a friendly, fun, confident and committed veterinary surgeon who loves their job and wants to offer the best possible service to their clients and their pets. Experience of at least two years would be preferred. After four years our colleague has moved on to pastures new and we are hiring again. We are a single-site, small animal first opinion practice based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Working alongside our 3 other vets you will be supported by an excellent team of 3 nurses (and we are currently pending further recruitment), 3 receptionists and a practice manager. We have a loyal client base, and we aim to treat their pets as we would treat our own. We have worked hard to build an excellent reputation in the area, and we have a real community feel of which our team are all very proud. We can offer:
  • Minimal sole charge and lots of support from a very experienced team.
  • Clinical independence, and encouragement to follow cases through from start to finish.
  • A flexible balance of consulting and operating, with a varied caseload (including many species of exotics if desired).
  • 20-minute consultations to remove time pressure and allow us to offer a high quality personal service.
  • A great work-life balance – 21 to 36 hours a week over 3 to 4 days, Saturday 1 in 4 (9-2pm). No out-of-hours and we close at 6pm. No Sundays or Bank Holidays. 6 weeks of holiday.
  • £42 – 55k PA depending on experience. Based on 38 hours a week (pro rata for part-time).
  • Plus Pension, CPD & VDS.
  • Accommodation is available rent free – Large self-contained single bedroom flat.
  • Relocation packages will be considered.
  • Lots of tea, coffee, cake and biscuits!
Applicant requirements We are looking for a highly motivated individual who thrives on doing a quality job. You will be confident, professional, kind and empathetic to both the clients and their pets. You will need good communication skills and RCVS registration or the requirements and eligibility to apply already in place if a work visa is required (sponsorship will be considered).
