Full Time First Opinion Vet with the option, if wanted, of regular days at our Surgical Referral Centre

Ideal for anyone looking to start their Certificate in Small Animal Surgery

We are an independently owned, long established and well-equipped small animal practice based in Ipswich, Suffolk, and we have an excellent reputation locally with our clients. An exciting opportunity is available for you to join this team and be part of the future growth of the practice. We have a strong, forward-thinking caring team, many of whom have worked for us for many years, consisting of friendly experienced vets, proactive and supportive RVNs, experienced receptionists who take great care of our vets and hardworking ward assistants. There is a huge amount of support for each other within the team.   Our appointments are 20 minutes as standard (longer if required) to ensure enough time is available to offer a great service, and a set admin time is blocked off during the afternoon to allow for phone calls etc. Working days: 4 days per week and every other Saturday morning 8am to 12 noon. No After hours.

• One full day per fortnight at the referral centre to personally work up your first opinion lameness/surgical cases alongside the very supportive orthopaedic team

We offer full surgical and diagnostic imaging support and advice from our own team of surgeons at our sister referral centre Christchurch Veterinary Referrals, which has on-site CT and MRI Scanners and a fantastic team of surgeons who are always available to offer advice where required. Cases undertaken include TPLO, THR, Fracture repairs and Spinal Surgery to name just a few!  We are offering one day per fortnight for you to see your first opinion lameness/surgical cases at the referral centre and to assist personally with these cases. An excellent opportunity to improve your surgical/diagnostic imaging skills.
