Veterinary Surgeon – Colchester

Colne Valley Vets are a well-respected independent small animal practice based in Colchester. We have a wide and varied caseload, with plenty of opportunity to increase both your surgical and medical experience with support from long-standing experienced colleagues.   We are a friendly and supportive team, providing a high standard of care in a relaxed but professional environment. We are well equipped with excellent surgical, dental, and diagnostic facilities (including dental x-ray and flexible and rigid scopes). We are also happy to invest in new equipment to support your interests. The practice is large, and purpose built with separate dog, cat, and exotic kennelling.  We also have a big team of experienced, qualified RVNs who provide high-level clinical support. Due to relocation, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join us on a full-time basis. Ideally, we would like someone with experience, who is a good communicator, who can work as part of a team, but is also able to manage  his or her own cases, albeit with the support of experienced colleagues.   The role is a 4-day week with an additional Friday off every six weeks with only a 1:6 Saturday morning rota and no OOH’s. Whilst our days can be very busy and varied, we are very conscious to try and provide all the team with an excellent work-life balance. Salary is £40-70k dependent on experience.
