Full Job Description

The Role Exciting opportunities are available for Veterinary Surgeons at Delaware Veterinary Group! We are looking for veterinary surgeons to support the teams at both our Castle Cary and Yeovil sites. We are open between the hours of 8:30am-6:30pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 1pm Saturday. Based on a full-time 40-hour week over 4.5 days we would also be happy to talk to vets wanting part-time work or a more flexible working pattern. There are no OOH/On call requirements with this role, inpatient care only. Salary for this role is up to £74,000 depending on experience. About Us Delaware Veterinary Group has two great practices in the stunning West Country that are looking for small animal vets to join the team. We encourage an open culture to allow our teams to thrive and aim to be the best vets we can be, helping our fantastic clients and their pets. We ensure that time off is generous and we can offer flexible working patterns to suit your needs. This offers the very best blend of time to enjoy Somerset life, whilst creating a job that works for you. Career progression is available for those who want to develop both clinical and non-clinical skills and one day manage a practice or to continue to grow as a clinician. CPD is encouraged and funded. About the Team and Culture With 8 small animal vets both full and part time and 13 nursing support staff (10 RVN), we have a clinical team that functions around support and the delivery of high-quality veterinary medicine. The team are actively encouraged to develop individual clinical skills and interests. This has led to two Small Animal Medicine Certificates, as well as Physiotherapy and Behaviour, Emergency Critical Care, and Dentistry. We have digital radiography including dental and ultrasound, endoscopes and in house laboratories. We play an active part in the local community, sponsoring events like the local children’s carnival, providing support on interview techniques for school leavers and giving talks with local charity groups. Applicant Requirements This position would suit candidates looking for a role that balances being the best vet with having the best personal life; someone who is excellent at working as part of a team.
