Veterinary Surgeon

About Us Allan Veterinary Surgery is an independent 100% small animal practice based in Renfrew, only 10 minutes from Glasgow’s vibrant west end. As in independent practice we are driven by the care and welfare of our clients and their animals and not by arbitary financial targets. Our team of three vets is supported by three vet nurses, one ACA and three experienced receptionists. We are currently extending our practice premises with the addition of a new surgical suite and xray facilities. We are a vet nurse training practice and are currently applying for RCVS accreditation. Role The role includes a combination of first opinion consulting, routine dentistry and general soft tissue surgery. There is scope for developing your own clinical interests and case loads. Ideally we are looking for a full time candidate, averaging 38.5 hours per week, but will consider part time or job sharing. Experience is preferred but we will consider hiring a new graduate and full support will be given. Rota Your rota will be split into alternate weeks: – Week 1 working across four, ten hour days Monday to Friday Week 2 working across three, ten hour days Monday to Friday plus 7 hours on Saturday There is no out of hours requirement for this post. Salary and benefits The salary will be in the range of £36000 – £60000 depending upon experience, RCVS registration and professional indemnity insurance cover is paid by the practice.
