Job Details

We are looking for a vet with an interest in all areas of small animal primary care work. We have opportunities for our vets to undertake additional qualifications as we have a high SA and exotics caseload so interests in small animal surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging and exotics are most welcome. Animal Ark is a busy multi-vet primary care small animal practice with a loyal client base and a well-established friendly team. Our vets are experienced and support and learn from each other to improve our service. We want associates to thrive and actively support additional qualifications and special interests (including exotics). We have all the equipment you would expect, including dental x-ray, an extensive IDEXX in-house lab with a digital microscope with camera and SediVue Dx®, Protein-Rich-Plasma, ultrasound, and multiparameter monitors. In addition, we have great rehabilitation support with a k-laser and hydrotherapy unit. Silver Cat-Friendly Clinic. Our modern, light and airy consulting building is soon to be matched by a hospital refurbishment in 2022. Our hospital has a fantastic team. You will be working alongside our highly experienced vets, six registered veterinary nurses (RVNs), six student veterinary nurses (SVNs), patient care assistants (PCAs) and our large client care assistant team. We have four diplomats at our hospital specialising in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, cardiology and endoscopy/Laparoscopy. We are also near Southfields Veterinary Specialists, with which we have a close working relationship and there are many opportunities for professional development. Your role and responsibilities
  • Delivering a high level of clinical and patient care in line with the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme
  • Delivering an exceptional level of client care. Make sure client interactions are focused on delivering value and great service with warmth
  • Working within the team to contribute your skills, efforts, and personal strengths to help ensure a harmonious team ethos.
We are in a great location opposite Goodmayes station with varied local food and shopping available in an exciting multiethnic community. We are also in close proximity to city and sea! (24 minutes to Liverpool Street, 1 hour to Southend-On-Sea by train) and only 40 minutes from Stanstead airport by car. We’re inside the M25 ring and outside of the ULEZ zone off the A406 North Circular. Hours are on a full-time or part-time basis. Fixed-term contracts can also be arranged.
  • Full-time hours: 40-hour week, no out-of-hours which are covered externally, 1:5-6 full Saturdays or 1:3 half Saturdays.
