About Us
A first opinion independent mixed practice based in a small rural town. 70% small animal, 30% farm & equine. No branch surgeries. No evening surgeries and emergencies only at weekends. We cover our own OOH. Phone sitting service outsourced for all out of hours. Digital X ray, ultrasound scanners. Friendly team of 5 reception staff, 1 VN, 3 full-time vets, 3 part-time vets all offering lots of support for a New Graduate.
The Role
Working a 4.5-day week, 1 week night on call, 1 weekend in 4 on call (experienced vet will be on call with you for as long as needed) consulting, performing small animal surgery, carrying out farm animal and equine visits and a small amount of OV work (TB testing, AHCs, EHCs)
Successful Candidate
We are looking for a keen and caring vet to join our friendly and dedicated staff; someone who will be happy to work as part of a team and who will enjoy living in a rural setting but within 2 hours travelling distance from the central belt.
The Package
- On call rota equally shared
- RCVS, VDS and CPD funded
- 5 weeks holiday per year
- Half day Wednesday afternoon, but willing to be flexible as required
