Veterinary Referral Administrator

Bath Vet Referrals have an exciting opportunity to join our referral admin team. We are looking for an efficient, confident and enthusiastic member of the team to help us provide an excellent service for our patients, clients and referring vets. Day to day tasks will include processing referral requests, liaising with referring vets, clients and our referral clinicians to organise appointments. This involves managing the diaries for all of our clinicians. Client and referring vet enquiries are managed by phone and email, liaising closely with our clinicians. The administration team are responsible for passing discharge information and referral letters on to our referring vets promptly. A close working relationship with our referral nursing team includes organising patient discharges and admissions. Other aspects of the role include managing referral team holidays and sickness, preparing rotas, involvement with marketing and regularly posting on social media. Further responsibilities include debt management, filing, organising visiting clinicians, liaising with laboratories and telemedicine providers, organising meetings and taking minutes. Competency with computer-based tasks and troubleshooting is essential. Special projects include organising CPD events and training receptionists to deal with out of hours referral enquiries. Bath Vet Referrals offers referrals in small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, medical neurology, spinal surgery, cardiology and rehabilitation. We see referral cases from across the South West and South Wales. We have on site MRI, CT and separate modern surgical and medical endoscopy systems. We have a small friendly team that work together to support each other. Bath Vet Referrals is part of the IVC Evidensia Referral Network. Experience within the veterinary sector is desirable and an understanding of the importance of client/pet relationships is essential. A background in customer focused and / or administrative roles would be beneficial. The role is full time, working weekdays, part time applicants will also be considered.
