Your role and responsibilities We currently seeking an enthusiastic animal lover to be part of our current Patient Care Assistant team, working enthusiastically to help maintain a happy, efficient, and effective working environment. Our Patient Care Assistants undertake a variety of duties as directed by the Veterinary Surgeons and/or Registered Veterinary Nurses and duties or responsibilities may include: · Assist with the reception and client care including answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries, booking procedures, and taking payments. · Infection control · Preparing and maintaining patient accommodation · Assisting with patient handling and restraint. · Monitoring, recording, and providing supportive care to patients, under the direction of the Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse. · Assisting with diagnostic techniques to include preparation of equipment, processing and/or packaging for external laboratories. · Maintenance of theatre to include preparation of the environment and equipment and cleaning, packaging, and sterilization of sterile supplies. · Assist with the management of the pharmacy including unpacking of orders, stock rotation, and environmental temperatures.
