An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual, to join the Royal Veterinary College, Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, as a Veterinary Infection Control Manager.
We are a multidisciplinary small animal veterinary referral hospital. You will be required to influence and lead the hospital departments; developing, implementing and performance managing Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) key success indicators. Provide advice to the Infection Prevention and Control Group on all infection prevention and control matters, and communicate effectively with all teams.
We are looking for a registered veterinary nurse or healthcare manager with experience or a qualification in infection, prevention and control, someone who is looking to use their knowledge and skills to advance current procedures and promote service compliance.
You will conduct, support, and collate audits of IPC practice in addition to providing advice support and education for team members across the hospital.
As part of the operational team, you will work within the head nurse group and alongside our experienced teams of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, and Veterinary Surgeons, Residents, Interns and Students.
You will be a supportive, compassionate and motivational leader with excellent organisational and administrative abilities. You will be a positive role model and decision maker. You will have a working knowledge of MS office packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., alongside excellent communication skills both written, face-to-face and over the telephone.
