Full Job Description

Our Cancer Services Pharmacy Team is looking for a Specialist Pharmacist to join the team to support the Paediatric Oncology service. They will join our well-established Cancer Pharmacy Team providing frontline services in paediatric haematology, oncology, and Haemopoietic Stem Cell Transplant. We understand that applicants may not have had opportunity to work in this specialist field. We are seeking pharmacists who are passionate, dedicated, and motivated to learn about this area. The post holder is employed by CambridgeUniversity Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and will be based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
  • To provide an advanced clinical pharmacy service, including prescribing of discharge medicines to paediatric oncology service.
  • To supervise oncology dispensing for oral and parenteral treatments.
  • To support the Advanced Pharmacist Paediatric Oncology in directorate work and development of pharmacy services.
  • To provide pharmaceutical input in line with the strategic direction and business objectives of the paediatrics directorate, and the pharmacy department.
  • To work alongside the multidisciplinary team (MDT) including nursing staff, doctors and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent inpatient and outpatient care.
  • To contribute to the training and education of other healthcare professionals.
