Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit for a Specialist Audiologist to work with the Adult Audiology Rehabilitation Lead. You will be performing a wide range of diagnostic testing on all patient groups, in addition to providing highly effective rehabilitation and on-going maintenance care plans for patients with complex hearing losses, tinnitus and patients with Bone Anchored Hearing Aids. You will also counsel patients with tinnitus andundertake routine day-to day activities of the services as required by service need.   • As a Senior for this Specialist area of service, to work as an independent practitioner in delivering clinical services to patients.
  • Autonomously undertake a broad range of specialised procedures.
  • Communicate complex, specialist test results or other specialist technical information to patients, some of whom may have sensory, physical or learning disabilities.
  • To provide specialist rehabilitation services to adults with hearing disorders including specialised, individual care planning and selection of appropriate intervention.
  • To have an active involvement in the Tinnitus Rehabilitation Service.
  • To provide appropriate specialised, individualised detailed reports to medical clinicians and other health/education professionals including, the analysis and interpretation of complex clinical tests, recommendations and advice regarding patient management
  • To work with the Adult Rehabilitation Lead in the provision of Specialist complex needs Clinics.
  • To undertake routine day-to day activities of the services as required by service need
