Small Animal/Exotics Vet
Are you a Vet Surgeon looking for an exciting new role, with heaps of opportunity and an attractive salary of up to £45,000 DOE?
We are looking for a Small Animal Vet to join the team at Stewart Vets. We have a fantastic new management team in place and the practice is about to undergo an extensive refurbishment, so this is a brilliant unique opportunity to be part of a busy small animal practice with a supportive friendly team and join their new adventure!
The main site is based in Dudley with a smaller satellite branch at Tipton. We currently have a Vet working towards a certificate in small animal surgery and are the sole provider of veterinary care for Dudley Zoo! So, if you have an interest in exotics we are the practice for you. We have all the modern equipment you would expect such as dental x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy to name a few and are extremely proud of our large and loyal client base. You will have a lot of opportunity to have continuity and work up cases, working out the best approach for each individual case.
You would be joining 4 Vets, 3 nurses, 1 SVN, 2 PCAs, 2 receptionists and a dedicated Practice Director. We are a passionate and social team who always make time for each other and have fun alongside work, meeting for walks and various events and every Friday is ‘Treat Friday’ paid for by management! What’s not to love?!
What we are looking for…
Ideally, you will be a confident Small Animal Vet (we will consider 10 – 12 months experience post grad), who strives to deliver high standards, a team player and willingness to learn and support the other members of the team. We actively encourage certificates and support anyone who would like to progress within the practice, so if you are driven, then we have the opportunity for you!
A member of staff who works at the practice as this to say – “It’s a great atmosphere and working environment, fast paced and never a dull moment. Since CVS acquired Stewarts all the changes have been positive and there’s always opportunity for progression. We’re rewarded and recognised for our hard work too which makes you feel like a valued member of staff.”
In return, we can offer a competitive salary paying up to £45k, depending on experience.
We know that benefits are key, and that your personal benefits priorities will differ from others. Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority. Flexible working is essential for others, and we are very open to finding a creative working pattern that suits. For clinical staff, CPD is probably critical. Just so you know we offer a wide range of amazing CPD – you’ll have access to Knowledge Hub, the best online veterinary learning resource within the industry – and we also offer an allowance to spend on external courses too. If you’d like to learn more, do feel free to contact the recruiter managing this campaign and ask them to talk you through our offerings. Or, if easier, you can find a list at on our careers site CVS Employee Benefits- what we can offer you. (cvsukltd.co.uk)
