The Role We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our amazing team here at Lynton House Vets. We are open to you being based at our Addlestone branch, or between our Addlestone and Woking branches. The role will involve a mix of consulting and surgery. We require an experienced, confident, enthusiastic vet, ideally with previous sole charge experience and the ability to fully work up a full range of medical and surgical cases. We pride ourselves on providing an excellent service to our clients and their pets and take care of a varied caseload. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to enjoy a superb work/life balance with a 4-day week, no out of hours, 2:6 weekends. Saturday shifts are from 8:00am-4:00pm and 9.00am to 12.00pm We would consider part-time and flexible working. We also offer excellent progression opportunities, offering you the opportunity to support the CD and be involved with the financial aspect of the business, as well with the ongoing development of the team and practice. There may also be the opportunity for the right candidate to progress to Clinical Director Level in the future. Salary Salary for the role is up to £65,000 per annum depending on experience. About Us We are a multisite practice situated across Lancashire. We have 6 operating branches in addition to our main RCVS Tier 3 accredited hospital – all our branches are accredited by the RCVS under the Practice Standards Scheme. Our core senior team is made up of certificate holders in Medicine and Surgery and we actively encourage and support Certificate study. We have a talented team of 10 Veterinary Surgeons, supported by an extensive team of Registered Veterinary Nurses and Animal Nursing Assistants. Our hospital is well equipped with a CT scanner, Advanced Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Digital X-ray, Dental radiography, and multiple surgical suites, as well as an onsite hydrotherapy & rehabilitation centre Team and Culture Our 7 Veterinary Surgeons are supported by a great team of 10 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses and experienced Receptionists across the Group. We have a family like culture in practice and have embedded a truly support and encourage ethos amongst the team. Each practice has an essential SOS chocolate station and we are never short of cake with some excellent bakers across the group! Mental and physical well-being of the team are paramount to us – we like to show our support both inhouse and externally by taking part in charity events such as “Ride for Dementia” and “Relay for Life” in aid of cancer research. Applicant Requirements With a high proportion of insured clients and the scope to work up cases, we are looking for a dedicated, compassionate and proactive individual, competent in medicine and general surgery and who takes pride in providing exceptional client and patient care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for surgery, with strong skill set (ideally orthopaedic).
