Retail Trainer – 12 month secondment

As a retail trainer within our People and Culture team where you’ll be responsible for driving the learning and development strategy with a primary focus on the selling programme integration. We’ll look to you to shape and deliver creative learning and training solutions to support our new and existing colleagues through their development journey with Vision Express.

What can you expect from the role?

You’ll deliver and support the integration and implentation of our new work with our L&D managers and learning specialists to identify requirements across the business from onboarding our new customer experience programme and enable our colleagues to bring our customer journey to life. We’ll look to you to support store performance by coaching our managers or working on more broad development solutions both planned and ad-hoc.

You’ll work closely with our operational teams to ensure that these solutions support the performance of our stores and partner with our Regional Managers to identify more local development opportunities.

We’ll look to you to support the creation of new learning content, create visibility of our L&D offer to our colleagues and to continually review this to ensure our learning content is meeting our high achieving performance culture.

You’ll lead in the delivery of programmes, online and face to face, reviewing completion levels and evaluating the effectiveness of the training delivered.

About you


We’re looking for candidates who have a passion for learning and development and have previous experience delivering and facilitating training sessions, and coaching and mentoring colleagues ideally within the Optics industry.


This is a 12 month secondment opportunity. Due to the nature of the roles, we’re looking for someone who has strong presentation and facilitation skills and a passion for learning and development with an ability to inspire and influence colleagues to deliver a high performance.
