Retail Assistant

Join our team in Malvern as a Optical Advisor (that’s what Retail/Customer service Assistants are called, in the world of Optics), and you’ll discover why at Specsavers, we pride ourselves on providing the foundation for exciting, long-term careers. As a Optical Advisor, you’ll make sure every customer gets a great experience when they come into our store. It means listening to what they want, explaining our offers and products and dealing with general optical duties. You’ll work to NHS guidelines (as well as our own high standards), give good, clear advice and make a positive impression, thanks to your polite and professional approach. The role is varied, where duties can range from (but are not limited to) dispensing glasses, booking appointments, repairs, ordering, clinical assistance (“pre-screening”) and teaching patients to handle contact lenses. Our Audiology service is also growing quickly, assisted by our team of optical advisors. We’ll help you to develop and expand your knowledge of vision problems, eye-care and our products. If you’re already a natural when it comes to customer care, articulate, good with people, have an organised approach and are always happy to help, you’ll fit right in as a valuable member of our friendly store team, joining a business that’s going places. We are looking for happy, professional, enthusiastic people regardless of level of optical experience. The store is open seven days a week and working hours can vary, over 4 or 5 days per week for a full-time employee. We aim to keep shift patterns fair for everyone and they are set out on our rota app in advance. We do everything we can to keep ourselves and patients safe during Covid-19, but unfortunately our industry can’t serve our patients remotely. We will discuss the exact measures we have taken in more detail at interviews. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £18,500.00-£19,500.00 per year Benefits:
