Dispensing Optician Position

A very well-established independent group of practices is looking for an experienced Dispensing Optician, who is able to take on some responsibility, for a permanent 5-day position with family-friendly hours of 0900- 1700 Mon – Fri & 0900-1500 on Sat.
The practices are based in the South East and South West areas of London with all having very long-standing and loyal customer base. They have a split of private and NHS patients and a frame selection to match all budgets.

Responsibilities of the Dispensing Optician

The role will entail dispensing responsibilities, offering your expert opinion, and helping patients to make selections. They require someone who will take up the role of chasing up glazing jobs, do recalls, and proactively monitor and fill up clinics, which are 3.5 days per week.
They need someone who will be involved in all areas of all tasks in-store including doing some glazing.

Requirements for the Dispensing Optician

Ideally, you will have experience working in independent practice, able to troubleshoot varifocals and dispense children from a young age. A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

*Position is full-time – Mon-Saturday. 4 weekdays and 1 Saturday. 36hr week
Saturday early finish 3pm.
No Sundays/ no bank holidays.

Compensation for the Dispensing Optician

On offer is a competitive salary of up to £32,000 and favorable working hours.
