FARNHAM PHARMACEUTICAL REPACKAGAING UNIT (Located on outskirts of Aldershot) Applications welcome from Registered Pharmacists. Our normal working week is: 8:30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday The Pharmacy Repackaging Unit based in Aldershot currently supplies Frimley Park and 70 other hospitals with pre-packs and emergency kits. As a Releasing Officer you will be ultimately responsible for the release of Finished Products into the market place ready for distribution to Repackaging Unit Customers. You will ensure compliance with ’Good Manufacturing Practice’ (GMP) in order to uphold ‘Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency’ (MHRA) Licence. 1. To be ultimately responsible for release of Finished Products into the market place ready for distribution to Repackaging Unit customers. 1. To carry out the final quality assurance check, according to standard operating procedures, on production batches of medicinal products packed in the licensed Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit, ensuring that all products are packed and labelled to the required standard. 1. To examine starting materials and Finished Products for compliance with specifications and to release or reject each batch as appropriate for use in the 70 NHS Hospitals supplied by the unit. 1. To report, record and take appropriate action on all process deviations according to Standard Operating Procedures. 1. To assist the Production manager to ensure that products are assembled in line with ’Good Manufacturing Practice’ (GMP) in order to uphold ‘Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency’ (MHRA) Licence.
