As a result, this relief role is in place in order to allow our pharmacy managers time to develop, and reach out to other health professionals in their areas to work as a better team, as well as being able to take relaxing holidays and not worry about locums in their stores. Our branches are in Lanarkshire and Glasgow, with the longest travelling distance between branches about 30 minutes – so the amount of travelling is not huge. Double cover or holiday cover is booked significantly in advance to allow for smooth scheduling of a working week. Everything is electronic and works using a simple app. Our stores benefit from a pharmacy manager, a store supervisor and a clear and supportive management structure.
