Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our department as a band 7 pharmacist. We support our staff to complete a postgraduate diploma and/ or independent prescribing whilst developing the necessary skillset to grow into a senior pharmacist. The post holder will join a team of specialist and generalist clinical pharmacists, medicines optimisation technicians and pharmacy assistants in delivering high quality, safe and effective care to patients and service users. You will undertake ward based clinical pharmacy activities in addition to six monthly specialist workstream rotations. These areas include and are not limited to: medicines safety, pre-operative assessment, drugs and therapeutic committee, spinal rehabilitation medicine, acute pain, chronic pain clinics, clinical trials and research, metabolic bone disease and rheumatology, homecare, complex long-term bone and soft-tissue infection management as well as post-operative care and high dependency/critical care. This is a full time role entailing 37.5 hours per week and includes weekend and on-call commitment on a rota basis.
