Full Job Description

Ardens is an exciting and fast-growing health tech company that has a passion for improving patient care through better use of technology. Ardens offers two main solutions:
  • Ardens Clinical – A clinical decision support and workflow optimisation solution for EMIS Web and SystmOne which is used in over 5,000 GP practice across England.
  • Ardens Manager – A data analytics platform used by over 1,800 GP practices in England
We are now looking to expand our EMIS Web development team with the addition of a Pharmacist who has a love for medicine and is passionate about making a difference to healthcare nationally. A key part of this role is development of our resources, medication monitoring toolkit and best practice reports. You will ensure our resources are evidence-based, safe and work with our clients to localise our resources . Our drug monitoring toolkit provides a complete solution to GP practices for the effective monitoring of medication. You will review new guidance, safety alerts and best practices resources to identify how they affect the Ardens toolkit and work to implement any changes required. In addition to great IT skills, you will also need a passion for best practice and reviewing up-to-date NICE guidance, along with the ability to summarise the guidance into an easily accessible format that can be used in a GP practice’s normal workflow, for example in a clinical template or report. It is important that you are also able to manage and comply with information-based processes under a tight timescale with a thorough and systematic approach. Great organisational skills and a methodical approach to work are also important to success in this role. You’ll be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and so excellent communication skills are critical as is being able to organise a fluctuating workload around competing priorities. You should be registered with the GPhC and ideally have experience working within a GP practice, but this is not essential. Experience of using EMIS Web is also desirable but not essential. A keen interest in IT would also be an advantage in this role This is a flexible PT/FT role; there is flexibility on the days and hours worked but we’d ideally like a minimum of 15 to 25 hours per week. You will be based partly from our offices in Eynsham (Oxfordshire) but there will be the opportunity to work remotely for much of your week should you wish to. The first stage of our application process will be a Teams interview, with the second stage being a face-to-face meeting at our Eynsham office.
