About the store

This large store was first opened in 1987 and quickly became a cornerstone of the local community. The store gained a reputation for providing an exceptional level of service and care to everyone who walked through the door. That reputation has continued to grow and improve over the years, with the store recognised as a beacon for exceptional service throughout the local community. At the heart of this service are the 30 dedicated, passionate and experienced members of staff. This outstanding service is reflected in the store’s performance, with a division leading CSI score of 287 YTD. There are 3 experienced resident Optometrists, two full time and one working on a part time basis, one pre-reg and one full time CLO. The store houses 5 spacious and modern testing rooms and one dedicated Audiology testing room.

The store is consistently one of the strongest performers in the region, and due to personal reasons it is with a heavy heart that the selling Partner is exiting the business. The store is a fantastic example of how Enhanced Optical Services can be utilised to improve the care provided to patients and in turn, the store’s performance. 80% of the store’s income is from the NHS, which presents an outstanding opportunity to develop the private revenue in this affluent town. Alongside the optical business. there is also a growing Audiology business. The Camborne store is the Audiology hub for four spoke stores located in nearby area.

The A30 provides an easy route into the town from both the north and the south. The local train station was once famous for its short platforms, but it has been completely refurbished and is now a modern and accessible station, providing services stretching all the way to London.
