About the store 

Specsavers in Edinburgh Fort sits in a prominent position in a popular retail park just outside Edinburgh city centre.   

 

This large store occupies 2 floors and boasts 5 testing rooms (3 on the ground floor) including a dual-purpose audiology room.   The stores test rooms are all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology including OCT – meaning you will have everything you need to perform sight tests to the highest possible standards. Plans are underway to kit out an additional testing room which will make it an impressive 6 test room store.  

 

There is a strong clinical team of 7 full time resident optoms, supported by an experienced and hardworking team on the shop floor. The existing Partner is passionate about the clinical development of the team, and as the new Optometry Director you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required.  

 

 Store location 

The store is located on the popular Fort Kinnaird retail Park just minutes from Edinburgh city centre. With excellent transport links, getting to Fort Kinnaird couldn’t be easier whether you’re driving, walking, cycling or using public transport.; it’s not uncommon for people to travel from far and wide to visit us. There’s something here for everyone: with over 70 high street and top branded fashion stores, an extensive range of homeware stores and an selecting of restaurants and cafes.  As the new Optometry Partner, your customer base will be very diverse – but there’ll plenty of familiar faces too.  

 

Requirements of the role

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with the drive, passion, and willingness to maintain the customer-focused culture and the high standards of this successful store. As the new Optometry Partner, you’ll be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll be able to build a rapport with the existing team, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and possess an ability to build strong relationships within the local community.
