How we’ll help YOU develop

As our Optometrist at Richmond, you will be given every opportunity for clinical, professional, and personal development, including, but not limited to: WOPEC accreditations, College of Optometrist Higher certificates, IP, Senior Optometrist progression and management development all sponsored by the store to aid your specific career and personal goals. In addition, you will have an opportunity to get involved within the community, supporting local enhanced optical schemes, local schools with work placements, and local charities through our sponsorship and fundraising activities.  We have strong relationships with nearby hospitals and we have partnered with Teesside University, a University with an outstanding reputation for learning and teaching excellence.  As our Optometrist, you have an option to move into a Partnership role and we will support you through the Pathway process.

What we’re looking for

As our Optometrist, you will provide an outstanding clinical service by providing eye tests and maintaining an exceptional standard of customer care that our loyal patients have come to expect, for years.  We don’t target test times; we want our patients to enjoy a thorough and professional experience, if that takes 40 minutes; so be it.  You’ll work with the Dispensing Opticians and Manager to ensure clinics run smoothly.  There is potential to supervise less experienced Optometrists within the team and provide support where necessary.   We hold daily “Morning Huddles” for the team where your input and contribution is welcomed.  This role has potential to become a Partner in Development, and we welcome applicants who are interested in this fantastic opportunity.
