Specsavers Darlington are looking for an Optometrist to join their store. The focus at this store, is about pulling together and working as a team to ensure that our valued patients have an excellent experience. A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Optometrist within our Darlington store. The role would be suitable for an Optometrist looking for full or part time work and for Optometrists of various levels of experience as development is tailored specifically towards each patient. As an Optometrist with us, you will make sure patients get an expert eye examination, complete with clear information, sound advice and a friendly, professional approach. You will work to the highest clinical standards, ensure we comply with NHS guidelines (and our own procedures), and help to build a loyal community customer base.
As a professional, you’ll be an expert at putting people at ease and have the ability to talk customers through the eye examination process and explain their options in a clear, easy to understand way. What’s more, you’re organised and passionate about what you do – which means you keep accurate records and always have up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in your field.

The store & Location:
We’re fully equipped with 6 test rooms, a contact lens and audiology room; you’ll work with the latest clinical technology (including OCT), and a team of 38, which includes fully trained optical assistants, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best. Darlington sits on the main trainline between Newcastle (30 mins away) , London (2hrs 20mins away) and only a stone throw from Middlesbrough
