Position: Optometrist
Location: Dumfries, Dumfries & Galloway
Salary: Up to £60,000 + potential £10k joining bonus (depending on experience) 
Working hours: Full Time or Part Time – happy to talk flexible working
Experience level: You must be a GOC registered Optometrist

 

Specsavers Dumfries is a 25-year-old family-owned store.  Many of their optometrists are home grown and development of their team is at heart of what they do, so if you are looking to become IP qualified or become a partner yourself, the management team will help you achieve your goals.   The store pride themselves in providing a flexible working environment, therefore applicants requiring flexible hours or part time hours are welcome.  With 5 test rooms, 2 OCT machines and the current potential to expand into hear care, things are looking bright at Specsavers Dumfries.

Dumfries, the gateway to beautiful coastline, is is a twenty minutes’ drive from the A74(M) and thence the M6 up to Glasgow (two hours). Trains: hourly to Carlisle (40 minutes) and the west coast mainline; also up Nithsdale to Kilmarnock and Ayr (90 minutes).

 

 

Our Optometrists are an integral part of our store management team, so we’re keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, Pre-Reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) all available to explore. Along with your clinical expertise – this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.
