Our Optometrists are the face of our professional practice and usually an integral part of our store management team, so we’re keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, pre-reg supervision and Specsavers Partnership Pathway available, we can guide you on your way to becoming a great leader. This – along with your clinical expertise – will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.

We’re equipped with 8 test rooms, cutting-edge technology, up-to-date ophthalmic equipment and a team 44 members strong – including optical assistants trained in pre and post-screening, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best.

 

Our store is fitted with the latest, cutting edge optical equipment, including OCT We offer an extensive amount of enhanced clinical services including cataracts appointments, glaucoma testing, diabetic screening and low vision clinics. We always aim to be the very best both clinically and in customer service. Our experienced, diverse and friendly team are always on hand to offer support and take care of patient’s needs, meaning that you can focus on offering a first-class sight test to our loyal customers.

The Location

Crossgates is a suburb in East Leeds. We’re located within the Crossgates Shopping Centre which features over 60 shops, cafes and restaurants. Being within a busy shopping centre there’s never a dull moment in this store! We’re easily accessible via train from Leeds City Centre and there’s plenty of parking making your commute to work easy.

 

Role Requirements

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, the right person for this position will be confident with a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. You will be passionate about your job and enjoy a busy, sometimes fast-paced, environment. We are looking for an Optometrist who will go the extra mile for our customers. What’s more, someone who encourages their colleagues to do the same. In summary, we’re looking for a high calibre resident Optometrist to join us and assist in driving this excellent practice forward.
