Full Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Optical receptionist to greet customers and potential patients as they enter our practice. The receptionist plays a very important role in administrative support and would work with other team members to ensure that our business runs smoothly and effectively. Our business values the work of our receptionist and we’re looking for an individual with a friendly, outgoing personality who can promptly handle any customer inquiries and manage a busy reception desk. We use practice management software to organise and run our clinics and would need someone who is both computer literate and able to learn how to use new software. The role could encompass pre-screening of patients including the use of an OCT and training will be provided where required. Responsibilities:
  • Speak clearly and confidently with all callers and visitors.
  • Answer the telephone politely.
  • Conduct research and follow up on phone calls with relevant information.
  • Answer patients’ questions in order to help them.
  • Relay instructions to others accurately, efficiently, and politely.
  • Provide information to others in a polite manner.
  • Liaising with suppliers and ordering contact lenses.
  • Filing and preparing records for clinics
