Job Summary A new part time role has become available at The Family Opticians. We are now looking for a friendly, efficient person to join our team. The successful applicant will be someone who insists on delivering an outstanding experience for all of our customers, someone who enjoys playing a valued role in an enthusiastic team and someone who is keen to develop as an individual and further their career. They will be working as part of a healthcare team and at times working diligently as an individual key staff member The part time role is currently available (2-3 days per week) with the potential for full time hours, ideally for someone who lives locally and is available to work between Mon-Sat. Responsibilities and Duties All our Team Members warmly welcome our customers into our shops. They are the true definition of a ‘People’ person with a knack for instantly building rapport and delighting our customers. They are never short of a smile, a friendly word or calm helpful advice. Reception – To book appointments and general managing of the clinic Administrative Duties – including writing up of orders, NHS forms and maintenance of existing processes. Dispensing – Helping customers select the right frame and lenses for the look that suits them and providing a thorough fitting and adjustment service. General duties will evolve with experience Qualifications and Skills The Requirements: You will be well presented, fluent in english and receive in-house training (therefore optical experience is not always necessary). A passion for fantastic customer service is a must and will work a 3 day week between Mon-Sat. If the pandemic situation changes, wearing PPE (appropriate for your role) will be mandatory as per government guidelines for healthcare key workers. General PC skills can be helpful but not essential Benefits Pay will be comparable to an industry standard but will vary depending on the candidate’s previous experience and/or the skill sets they bring to the team. If you are totally new to this industry then pay will begin at £9.50/hour but we will consider transferable skills. In house training will be provided and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
