Optical Assistant – Domiciliary

What you’ll do

Due to an increase in patients and demand for our services, we are currently recruiting for a Domiciliary Optical Assistant.

Increased salary of up to £21,500 starting salary

Role: Domiciliary Optical Assistant
Location: Ideally located in the Peterborough or Grantham area
Region: Lincolnshire and North Cambridge area
Salary: Competitive basic dependent on experience
Working hours: Full Time (40 hours) Monday to Friday (would consider someone 3 or 4 days too.)
Experience level: You MUST have previous optics experience and hold a valid driving license

In this position you will be out and about in the community, driving across the regions noted above. Your main responsibility will be to provide support to the Optometrist when visiting patients in their own homes. This will include setting up testing equipment, carrying out handovers with the optometrist and being able to provide a personalised dispensing service to each patient you meet. Customer care is high on our agenda, so you must love optics and love dealing with the more vulnerable customers.
