Optical Assistant

We are a busy independent optician’s looking for a full-time optical assistant to join our friendly and experienced team. We are looking for someone who’s organised, motivated and a great team player! Within the role you will be required to book appointments, answer telephone calls, and give our patients any relevant advice needed. You will also work with our optometrists to dispense frames and lenses to suit the patients’ needs and help pre-screen in our ophthalmology clinics. Your role will include collection and adjustments appointments of glasses. You will be able to provide great customer care to every patient. This role requires you to be able to work to NHS guidelines and uphold our clinical standards. Our opening hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday – Saturday (Excluding bank holidays and a week over Christmas). You will be required to work some Saturdays. We are happy to consider applicants with and without previous optical experience, training will be provided if necessary. Experience in customer service is preferred. Salary dependant on experience.
