Full Job Description

A part-time vacancy has arisen in our Opticians Practice for an Optical Assistant
  • Experience preferable but not essential as full training will be given. A retail or customer care background would also be beneficial.
  • The post is for 22 hours per week (3 days) plus additional days to provide holiday cover.

The candidate should have the following qualities and will be expected to perform the following duties.

  • Develop a passion for quality eye care products and services.
  • A flare for style
  • An attention to detail is essential.
  • In house and external training will be given to give you confidence to provide the very best service to our customers and patients.
  • Will be required to dispense single vision, bi-focal, varifocal lenses and specialist eyewear.
  • Being part of the Practice Contact lens Scheme support and management service for our patients.
  • Hearing care: manage appointment bookings and customers enquiries.
  • Carry out reception and general administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment by following infection control and cleaning guidelines.
