Optical Assistant – Dispenser – Trainee Asst Manager! c£25K – £26K! The Role! As an experienced Optical Assistant you may well be helping to Supervise a team – branch currently, or, a Team Leader, running the branch at weekends, then this may be the next move for you. Additional training is available for the right candidate, someone with drive, enthusiastic, team player and can motivate colleagues? Requirements of the Snr Optical Assistant You will have a friendly and personable demeanour and a strong personal work ethic, with a customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike. It’s essential you have previous team leader – supervisory experience, and ideally have a proven track record of growing a practice, or, understand the need to continue to grow a business, year on year. You will lead by example, whatever you ask of your team, you can and will be able to do it, and more! KPI’s, Rotas, generally making sure the branch runs like clock work, clinics are on time and everything is prepared, the team are up to date on new products, training that is required, is made available. Training/Mentoring the Team: Helping and showing team members, leading from the front, mentoring – giving expert advice, training with frame choice, dispensing single/bi/vari focal, CL Teaches, general administration, your ability to help and steer patients in the right direction, showing your team how to get the best for their patient, providing an enjoyable journey for the patient and a great place to work for your colleagues. Every day brings variety, you will work in a busy environment – juggling a lot of balls, keeping on top of everything, while being polite, in difficult situations, that will arise from time to time, but that’s what will set you apart from the rest – your confidence, prioritising and making sure you do your best every day! An enthusiastic, practical and amazing person, that’s what we are looking for – A very capable Optical Assistant – with potential to become an Asst Manager!
