Full Job Description

As an Optical Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for anyone visiting or contacting your practice. It’s all about greeting clients in person as they arrive, or over the phone or by email, and you’ll focus on listening and on understanding their needs before taking ownership of their query. You’ll also work closely with Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians to determine the best solutions for our clients, while helping to dispense spectacles to, and collect from, clients. Above all, you’ll you focus on delivering obsessively great service at every step in the Bayfields client journey. At Bayfields we have a clear purpose of delivering a friendlier, more personal service, spending more time with our clients, listening to their needs to provide the best solution for their lifestyle. About you Ideally you’ll already have experience as an Optical Assistant. But what’s most important is that you have a background in customer service, a professional approach, great telephone skills, lots of flexibility, and an ability to learn new IT systems.
