Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an Optical /Dispensing Assistant to join our well established, busy independent practice. You will be joining a friendly, professional and supportive team well known for providing excellent clinical care and customer service to our valued, loyal patients. This position will keep you busy, playing your part in the day-to-day running of a busy practice. You will undertake a wide range of responsibilities including carrying out administrative tasks, using our optical screening equipment and assisting with the dispensing of spectacles. You will work under the supervision of our friendly team of opticians and optical / dispensing assistants. Previous experience is an advantage but is not essential as appropriate training will be given. Due to the nature of the tasks you would be required to do, an ability to work to a very high level of accuracy with attention to detail is essential. You must possess good communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team and have a dedication to excellent customer care. The role is for 3- 5 full days per week. We do not work on Bank Holidays or Sundays and you would have at least 1 in 3 Saturdays off. Salary range £17,000 to £21,000 dependent on experience.
