Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an individual, ideally with previous experience in optics, to join us at our store in Skelmersdale as an Optical Assistant. We are willing to consider a candidate without optics experience who has extensive customer service experience and is motivated to learn in a new industry. As an Optical Assistant, you’ll make sure every customer gets a great experience when they come into our store. It means listening to what they want, providing exceptional clinical advice and dispensing lenses. You’ll work to NHS guidelines (as well as our own high standards), explain our current offers and promotions and make a positive impression, thanks to your polite and professional approach. In return we’ll continue to develop and expand your knowledge. With many of our current directors and managers beginning their career within Specsavers as an Optical Assistant, your career progression is endless. To secure this role you will need previous experience within an optical retailer / in customer service and have a real passion for providing fantastic customer care.
