Optical Assistant Position Inspired Selections are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Optical Assistant to cover the Sheffield area in my clients leading independent domiciliary care business. You will be required to deliver patient centred eye care to patients within care homes, residential homes and sheltered accommodation. It is essential that you can drive as you will be required to drive yourself and the Optometrist to the different care settings. It will allow you the opportunity to put your skills to the test and make a real difference to the quality of a person’s life and help and support a local community Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant As an experienced Optical Assistant, you’ll ensure the delivery of a high quality professional service, with high standards of dispensing, fitting and customer care plus supporting and working alongside the optometrist. In short you’ll make sure every patient gets a great experience and a professional service. A sympathetic approach is required as well as a patient manner due to the nature of the dispensing undertaken. Compensation for the Optical Assistant On offer there is a competitive salary of £20,000 , a performance related bonus, but more importantly the chance to take the next step in your optical career. You will have full 28 days holiday. Normal working hours are 9:00am to 5.00pm Mon- Fri but some flexibility is required due to occasional later finish as well as some earlier days.
