Are you an experienced Optical Assistant in the North Kent area looking for a new role in a well-established, independent opticians with an excellent reputation in the local community?

A very exciting opportunity has become available for an Optical Assistant on a full time, permanent basis with independent opticians. This optician is driven by patient care and can be fully flexible catering to each and every patient’s needs; there is no lens, frame or prescription that cannot be accommodated.

My client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to take on an all-around role and can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The ideal candidate will have had experience as an Optical Assistant and can competently work to their own initiative. What is also important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients, while getting involved in the day-to-day tasks of the store.
Your responsibilities will consist of pre-screening, contact lens teaches, dispensing with frame selection, ordering of frames, glazing and assembling spectacles as well as all admin/ reception duties.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant.

At least 2 years of experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within an independent.
An enthusiastic and friendly person with a personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £22,000 is on offer.
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment, potential opportunity prospects are available for the right person.
Working 9:00-5:30 Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week.
No Sundays or Bank holidays
