Optical Assistant

A very exciting opportunity has become available for a Call Centre Assistant on a permanent, full-time contract in a very busy practice in Guildford. I am recruiting currently for a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands.

Hours – 40.5 hours over 5 days (shifts are 8:30am-5:15pm or 10:15am-7pm)
Flexibility on weekends – working 1 in 3 Saturdays, no Sundays
Salary – Up to £19,200
Bonus scheme – Approx £160 per month

This practice is very well established and has a very strong local customer base. This is a busy store with quite a large team and due to continued success they are looking to add somebody to the team who can help support the team and grow with the practice

Responsibilities of the Call Centre Assistant

The role will entail handling patient enquiries, dispensing enquiries, the ability to dispense over the phone i.e. re-orders, help patients with any eye health concerns, completing triage forms and other Call Centre duties such as taking messages and booking appointments.
This is a vital role as due to the current situation this optician is getting a lot more calls and queries and need someone specifically for this role so that the other members of the team can focus on the shopfloor duties.

Requirements of the Call Centre Assistant

Must have a clear, polite and friendly telephone manner.
Ideally previous experience within a busy opticians practice.
Ideally, the ability and knowledge to dispense to all levels
Must be patient and informative
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Call Centre Assistant

For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £19,200 is on offer as well as additional benefits.
