Optical Assistant Position

An opportunity has just become available for a customer-driven optical assistant with experience in all levels of dispensing.
I am recruiting currently for one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands that have an opening due to them increasing their dispensing team.

These practices are situated in busy locations and have strong footfall with a loyal customer base made up of a good mix of private and NHS patients. They have a very friendly and patient-focused team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of care possible and they have a very good local reputation for excellence in customer care.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and help with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

At least 1 year of optical experience with a friendly and personable demeanor and strong personal work ethic. A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike. The director of this practice likes ambitious people and offers progression opportunities leading to the Dispensing Optician qualification or Management qualifications.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your skills, my client is offering more than the competitive salary of up to 25k basic and a bonus scheme earnings of up to 3k, with additional benefits. You will also have the opportunity to receive further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
