Specsavers in Flint, North Wales, are looking for Optometrist to join them. The focus at this store, is about pulling together and working as a team to ensure that our valued patients have an excellent experience. Currently, we are closed on a Sunday, that may change in the future as we enjoy our continued growth and demand for our customer focused services. We don’t “sell” to our patients, we make essential recommendations. We stick loosley to a 25 minute testing time, however, if the customers needs more time, we wont rush. We want every person that visits our store to enjoy a meaningful and professional experience.

We’re fully equipped with 3 test rooms, the latest clinical technology (including OCT), and a team of 11– which includes fully trained Optical Assistants and Dispensing Opticians, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best. We are an experienced team everyone is the store has been with us for at least 5 years, our most loyal colleague has been withus for nearly 20 years. We love a team night out, you’ll soon feel welcome within the Flint Store Family.
What we’re looking for
Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, we are searching for someone who shares our store’s ethos. Someone who wants to grow, develop, and offer exceptional customer care along the way. We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team. In summary, we’re looking for a skilled resident Optometrist to join us, be part of the team and assist in driving our practice forward.
Ideally you will be WECS accredited already, if not, we’ll help you through the process. There will be a combination of virtual and face-to-face sessions to attend and travel expenses will be paid for any additional mileage you need to cover. If you’re MECS accredited already, some of the competences are transferrable.
Location
The store is located just off the A55; less than 15 minutes from Chester and a short walk to the Dee Estuary and Flint castle. There is a local train station with regular services to Liverpool (approximately 1 hour) and a direct service to Manchester in under 90 minutes.
