Learning & Development Specialist

Do you have a passion for developing the skills of leaders while creating a culture of sustainable, continuous learning and growth?

We’re looking for a learning and development specialist to support  leadership development within the wider learning and development team. You’ll identify learning opportunities to drive our colleague and leader capability, creating moments that matter for all our colleagues.

This is hybrid role with 2-3 days based in our store support office in Ruddington.

What can you expect from the role?

You’ll play a crucial role in shaping the capability of our leaders by identifying learning issues and providing recommendations for learning and development support to leaders whilst supporting a move away from order-taking L&D.

Using your knowledge, skills and experience you’ll analyse training and development through surveys, interviews and focus groups, to identify and develop unique learning solutions and training programmes to fulfil specific needs and to maintain and improve skills and culture.  We’ll look to you to facilitate sessions and offer one to one coaching to improve individual performance and work with the business to enable them to develop their teams most effectively.

You’ll evaluate programme effectiveness through business performance, assessments and surveys, and you’ll demonstrate the effectiveness learning has had with colleagues and the impacts on business performance through the use of MI.

About you

We’re looking for someone who has previous experience as a learning and development specialist (or similar role) with a focus on leadership and management development. You will be able to demonstrate working knowledge of effective learning and development methods and be familiar with blended learning and you’ll love facilitating engaging sessions both face to face and virtually.

You’ll have the ability to consult, partner, upskill, coach and mentor colleagues across the business so if have a positive, customer first and “can do” attitude this job could be for you!
