South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has a vacancy within the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Department for a committed and ambitious Pharmacist. Working with the Research and Development and Pharmacy Department the role includes supporting and developing clinical and pharmaceutical input into the delivery of clinical research within South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in accordance with current legislation, Good Clinical Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice and all other relevant medicines regulations and ethical requirements. Other responsibilities include managing, training and leading Pharmacy staff on matters relating to the use of medicines in clinical trials to provide an effective and efficient service to all staff and patients of the trust. The Research and Development Department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust employs over 120 members of staff and provides a stimulating, friendly, and professionally rewarding environment for staff to develop their clinical research knowledge, expertise and professionalism in specialties including Neurosciences, Renal Medicine, Cardiology, Surgery, Women and Children, Intensive care, Oncology and Haematology. Applicants must be a pharmacist registered with the GPhC with experience of working within Hospital Pharmacy and have an interest in research. The successful candidate will work full time hours 8.30am-5pm Monday – Friday.
