Lead Clinical Pharmacist – Lings Bar Hospital
About the job
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated pharmacist to join our thriving, successful and innovative team. This post holder will lead our clinical pharmacy service to Lings Bar Hospital, a community hospital based in Gamston, Nottingham.
You will lead, manage and coordinate a small team of pharmacy staff who work at the site on a rotational or permanent basis. You will provide day to day clinical input and work proactively to develop and optimise the use of medicines at the site.
There is close working with our partners in the Nottinghamshire ICS, including current work around the “Virtual Ward”. You will be supported to innovate and bring your own vision for the site to fruition. The site is in the process of moving over to electronic patient records and will be part of the roll out of the Trust Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration system over the coming 1-2 years.
To lead on the delivery and development of a clinical pharmacy service to Lings Bar Hospital.
Work proactively to develop and optimise the use of medicines at the Lings Bar Hospital site.
Provide advice and expertise and communicate information in relation to medicines optimisation with the Lings Bar Hospital team.
Be involved with the development and implementation of local policies and procedures and pharmacy and medicines strategies.
Lead on ensuring the governance aspects of prescribing and medicines optimisation are delivered effectively in Lings Bar Hospital.
Identify and work to address medicines and prescribing interface issues that are identified. Assists in clinical and multidisciplinary audits and research and development.
Providing support to the dispensary aspects of the pharmacy service, and pharmacy on-call on a rota basis.
You will be assigned a trust wide portfolio item that you are responsible for.
