Job Title: In Patient Veterinary Surgeon Salary: £42-55k per annum (depending on experience) Location: Dewsbury Job Type: Permanent Hours: 3-days per week (7.45am-8.15pm) Mon-Fri plus 1 in 4 weekends Your role and responsibilities We are looking for a Vet with an interest in medicine and in patient care to support continuity of care for our hospitalised patients. This involves examination, making care plans and communicating with clients, as well as liasing with other vets in the team when imaging, investigative or surgical procedures are required. This role would suit a recent graduate as it creates an opportunity for development with support of more experienced colleagues. A key part of the role is also overseeing handover of patient care to the night team. The role may also involve seeing some emergencies if required. For more information, click here. About us Calder Vets Dewsbury is a 24/7 Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital. We welcome referrals from across Yorkshire and we are proud to provide our own 24-hour on site emergency care through our dedicated ECC night team. We offer a high quality primary care service, including consultations, preventative healthcare, vaccinations, routine, non-routine and laparoscopic surgery, dentistry, and imaging (x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, visiting MRI). We are also able to offer middle tier referrals in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, exotics and dermatology and we have our own state of the art rehabilitation centre with physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and laser therapy. We have a fantastic team across all 11 of our sites, and we all support each other. We often discuss clinical cases and get involved in social events. We have a large Vet team and are supported by experienced and dedicated nursing and front of house teams. 6 of our Vets are working towards certificates in Surgery, Imaging, Dermatology, Medicine, ECC & Ophthalmology.
