Highly Specialist Pharmacist – Cancer and Technical Services (Band 8a) Contract: Permanent Full Time 37.5hrs/week Site: West Middlesex Hospital   An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced cancer pharmacist to further develop their clinical, management and leadership skills by joining the Cancer and Technical Services Pharmacy team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting time to join the friendly team at West Middlesex Hospital, as plans are underway for the development of a new Cancer & Chemotherapy Unit, an upgrade of the Pharmacy Technical Services Unit, and the implementation of a new sector wide chemotherapy e-prescribing system. With the Lead Pharmacist for Cancer, Technical & Patient Services, the post holder will:

• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of an efficient and patient focussed service to cancer patients
• Provide clinical input all aspects of the safe prescribing, clinical screening and administration of chemotherapy
• Support the development of clinical guidelines, including those related to the chemotherapy e-prescribing system
• Manage and supervise the safe production of cytotoxic chemotherapy, Centralised Intravenous Additive Service (CIVAS), extemporaneous and over labelled products.
• Support the training of both junior and trainee pharmacists.
• Deliver clinical ward based duties as required
• Participate in on-call, weekend/bank holiday, lunch and late duties cover
