Health & Safety Advisor

Do you enjoy winning together? We are looking for an Health & Safety Advisor to join our Compliance and Legal team. In this exciting role you will be designing and promoting the implementation of a formal Health and Safety compliance framework from which the business can operate at an acceptable level and work towards best practice.

What can you expect from the role?

This opportunity will see you working proactively with all areas of the business, ensuring H&S programmes  are completed as agreed and remedial actions are implemented in line with agreed deadlines. You will be leading and implementing changes to policies, practices and procedures where health & safety and compliance matters require modernisation and updating.

You will be responsible for regularly reviewing and reporting on progress against the plan, and taking remedial actions against issues identified, analysing any consistent themes for non-compliance and actively working with all relevant teams to ensure problems are addressed and solutions for stores are put in place. Monitoring the performance of contractors on the remediation of points made on visits, and working with all relevant teams to ensure that remediation takes place in a timely manner is also a key part of the role.

About you

Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for someone who is a strong communicator, both verbally and written with all levels of people, tailoring the style format of information to meet the needs of the audience, You will need to be knowledgeable and experienced in all relevant aspects of H&S legislation and have worked within a similar role previously.
