This role plays a critical role in developing and leading clinical governance, the development of Audiologists and HCA’s, as well as professional representation, communication and innovating our clinical offering and clinical journey.   Key Responsibilities · Provide professional support and advice for all internal stakeholders JVP’s, HAD’s and HCA’s · Support the Director of Professional Advancement in the development of the clinical strategy for Audiology and act as a representative where required. · Manage and lead the Divisional Audiology Clinical Engagement Managers · Management of clinician performance and advising on the performance management of Audiologists · Develop and lead clinical governance – including the production and communication of clinical protocols and policies · Support the Brand Standards team in the store audit process. · Development relationships and support the Retail Support Team to enable them to act with greater confidence and competence in relation to clinical matters · Arrange for the provision of professional mentoring for stores · Support the implementation of the Audiology annual plan. · Support the development and implementation of a competency framework and career plan for Audiologists, HCA’s and other clinical roles · Provide support to long term strategic development of the Global Audiology service · Advise and trial technologies and services that would support in stores and on purchase of new equipment or provision of new services · Lead professional complaints resolution · Work with the Director of Professional Recruitment and the Director of Professional Training and Development to increase the number of Audiology, HCA and other clinical positions student places · Act as a representative of Specsavers and Professional Advancement both internally and with external bodies · Create open communication channels with key stakeholders to inform and update. Build trust and respect by creating strong relationships that allow healthy debate, challenge and influential discussion. · Create a people centric culture with top performing teams that have clear direction on career development and are rewarded in line with performance. · Manage functional budgets and inspire with team (as needed) to identify creative ways for cost improvements · Champion the Specsavers behaviours and embed these in your team culture.   Essential Skills · UK registered Audiologist with proven experience in practicing within a Retail environment · Proven track record in the development and delivery of commercially focused training for Audiologists · Ability to engage and influence operating boards and senior leaders · Ability to influence and challenge key stakeholders and champion change at all levels of the business · Ability to create and deliver innovative training and development programmes · Proficient people management experience with ability to clearly develop and lead a team · Ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines and make confident and swift judgements · Strong customer focus and the ability to work collaboratively within a high performance, fast paced environment across different departments and regions · Ability to build rapport with professionals at all levels · Strong interpersonal skills consistent with being approachable and supportive · Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (good networker) · Needs to be prepared to travel extensively throughout the UK, ROI, Guernsey and on occasions Northern Europe and Australia/New Zealand. · Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint · Take ownership for own development   What we do for you We offer a competitive salary and an excellent bonus plan – you will be entitled to two bonuses – one based on your own personal performance which is paid quarterly and a company bonus that is based on the performance of the business.
