Front of House Dental Receptionist Rhiwbina Dental are looking to expand our fantastic team with the addition of a dynamic and pro-active individual who prides themselves on customer care and satisfaction. Our reception team play a vital role in the successful running of the practice, as they are usually the first members of the team that patients will encounter. Therefore, they will have an enormous impact on the initial impression that a patient will have of a dental practice. Typical duties of our practice receptionist’s: Meet and greet all patients – The receptionist will be expected to greet our patients in a warm and friendly manner and ensure they feel welcome. Create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere – We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our patients and this begins with the journey in and around the practice. Keep the reception and waiting areas clean and tidy – These areas must always be kept clean and tidy. Deal with treatment bookings – Dental receptionists will be expected to handle all patient appointments, allocating the correct amount of time for each visit. Process payments – The receptionist will have to handle taking payments for dental treatments, products purchased, sales etc. Manning the telephones/operating the switchboard – You will be expected to answer incoming calls and thereafter deal with any enquiries, transfer calls through to the appropriate persons or take a message. Secretarial duties – Writing letters to patients and referring dentists from dictation and notes. Retail dental products – Receptionists to have knowledge of these products and be able to assist with customer enquiries in the absence of any dental professionals and to sell these products. General administrative duties – dealing with any paperwork which may involve photocopying, typing and filing. Support dental professionals – This may involve helping nurses, ensuring patients are supported both before and after their treatments and supporting other team members to ensure that the patient journey is as enjoyable as possible. No experience is necessary for this post as full training will be given, however an understanding of customer service and computer skills would be an advantage.
